Sir Edward Grey to Mr. Mox Müller.
Foreign Office, July 25, 1910. WITH reference to previous correspondence on the subject of the Macao Delimitation Commission, I was informed by the Chinese Minister on the 21st instant that he has heard privately from the Chinese Minister in Paris that, as the latter was the other day on the point of starting for Lisbon to continue negotiations on this question, he had received a note from the Portuguese Minister for Foreign Affairs begging him to postpone his visit, owing to the hot weather and the holidays, until the end of September or the beginning of October.
I am, &c.
